Make sure there is plenty of water in the bottle. Also, check to see if your unit has reached your set humidity level. Your fan will power off once the selected humidity level is reached.

Your humidity level is below 20%, which is too low. Try increasing your fan speed and output level.

Your humidity level is over 90%, which is too high. Try lowering your fan speed and output level.

For newly installed units, it can take 2-3 days for your new humidifier to bring your humidity up, especially if it is very dry in your home. If this is not a new unit, check your wick. If your wick is old, replace it with a new one.

Yes! Your Table-Top’s parts and their part numbers are listed on page 2 of your manual. You can order parts through many of our retailers, or here on our site.

Your water’s mineral content dictates how often your wick needs replacing. Harder water means more frequent changes. Using our 1970 Bacteriostat can help keep your unit cleaner and lengthen the life of your wick. Always change your wick at the beginning of every season.

FAQs

Your serial number is on the sticker on the back of your humidifier.

We recommend an indoor relative humidity level of 40-60%. This range is best for creating a comfortable environment, and it is at this level that cold, flu, and other viruses tend to fall apart.

For single room humidifiers, place the unit in the room where humidity is most needed. Whole house humidifiers should be placed in the most centrally-located room of your house. Putting your humidifier next to a cold air return will help spread humidity throughout your home more quickly. Whole house humidifiers should be placed on the bottom floor of multi-level homes.

This depends on the unit. Single room humidifiers can bring the humidity up in a room relatively quickly. Whole house humidifiers typically need 2-3 days to bring your humidity up, especially if it is very dry in your home.

Yes, you can buy most replacement parts individually. Refer to the owner’s manual that was included with your Tower, or click here, for a complete list of replaceable parts.

Your first 1040 Super Wick set is included with the purchase of your humidifier.

You should replace your filters every 60-90 days. Keep in mind that your water may allow for less frequent replacements, or require more frequent replacements. Everyone's water is different and contains different minerals that will affect the life of the wicking filter.

No, the wicking filter is made with a special absorbent paper that will fall apart if you try to wash it.

You can buy replacement humidifier filters here on our site, from our retailers, or by calling us at 800-547-3888.

Your humidifier will operate only when all components are correctly installed. Make sure your wicking filters and bottles are all correctly installed. Check your owner's manual included with your humidifier, or the online version here on our website.

The “CF” code triggers after 720 hours of use and means it’s time to CHECK your filter. If your filter is still in good shape, simply clear the code by unplugging your unit then plugging it back in. If your filter needs replacing, let your unit dry completely, then replace your filter with a new 1040 Super Wick®.

The “F” code means your unit is empty and needs to be FILLED.

Try adjusting your water bottles. Make sure each plunger is seated squarely on its peg.

Your CONROLS ARE LOCKED on the current setting. Activate the control lock by holding the power button for five seconds, until CL appears. Your Credenza will lock on the current fan and humidity settings. The Tower will empty the right bottle first.

FAQs

Your Valiant will empty the right bottle first. The left bottle will not drain if you refill the right bottle immediately after it has emptied. Make sure the right bottle and the base of the unit are empty so that the left bottle can drain.

Our humidifiers can read humidity levels up to 99% but can only be set to 65%. When set to 65%, the unit will run until the humidifier is out of water.

Note that units with a dry-out mode will continue to run after the unit is empty to help dry out the wicking filter.

Yes, the AIRCARE models are similar to the Kenmore units; the parts are interchangeable on similar models as well.

The Valiant has dual removable water bottles. The bottles are to be laid on the sink after the side fill caps have been removed. You will then turn the faucet so that it’s directly over the opening of the bottle and then fill the tank with water (please leave at least 2 inches of air in each bottle).

The F cose means your unit needs to be FILLED with water.

If your unit is full with water and the F code engages, this means the float rod is not positioned correctly. Turn the cabinet upright and place the wide end of the float in the circular area in the bottom of the cabinet. Make sure the float retainer is between the first and second bumps on the float. Squeeze the float retainer’s prongs together, position them halfway down the long vent slat, then release the prongs to lock in place.

Yes, this humidifier comes with your first wick set.

We recommend replacing your wicks every 30-90 days. During these regular wick changes, all four of the wick pieces should be replaced at the same time. If you have a wick that has been inadvertently damaged, you can certainly replace just that piece.
